Exiled from the anthehomes, Tylidae embraces a self-imposed mission to hunt down raiders seeking the few remaining anthelai. However, when a captive anthela reveals Tylidae's unwitting involvement in a past catastrophe in Caesia, she abandons the wilderness in search of answers.

In the bustling port city of Corvain, Tylidae sheds her old identity to emerge as Dae Devos, determined to escape the haunting shadows of her past as the Nightingale. But when a group of distressed Serra Islanders cross her path, pleading for aid with what appears to be a simple task, she finds herself relying on her assassin's skills once more.

After joining their quest, Dae begins to suspect that her companions harbor secrets of their own. And as dangers multiply, their search for treasure evolves into a perilous struggle for survival. In the face of looming threats, Dae must confront not only external adversaries, but also the vulnerabilities of her own heart.
