Red Dragon's Keep

Vanderwerken, Natli K.: - In her debut novel, Natli VanDerWerken has written an intriguing YA Fantasy novel, Red Dragon's Keep, first book in The Dragon's Children series. She loves the idea of dragons; the myths and the stories. Red Dragon's Keep grew out of a story she told to her grandchildren one Christmas Eve. When she was young, Natli wrote stories just for herself in which she was always the hero. She thought she might be a veterinarian, a chemical engineer, or an astronaut. She joined the Navy instead and served as a meteorologist and anti-submarine warfare specialist. She holds a BS and MS in Computer Systems. She is a website designer and shows Shetland Sheepdogs. She has three daughters and five grandchildren. She enjoys writing, quilting, tai chi, riding, and jumping out of perfectly good airplanes. Next is learning how to sword fight.
