Rediscovering Virtue Ethics: Reflections on the Failure to Socialize New Generations in Cultivating Good Character Traits and the Challenge to Lead Hu

In a time when quick fixes and shallow successes dominate our culture, it is easy to lose sight of what truly matters-character. My new book, Rediscovering Virtue Ethics: The Challenge to Lead Humanity to a More Harmonious Future, offers a compelling case for returning to a human-centered philosophy that asks not just what we achieve, but who we become.

Rooted in the timeless wisdom of Aristotle and expanded by modern thinkers like Alasdair MacIntyre and John Bradshaw, virtue ethics emphasizes traits like empathy, courage, and integrity. These are not just lofty ideals-they are practical habits that can be nurtured through daily action, mentorship, and community. When character becomes the focus of how we parent, teach, and lead, we build a more resilient and compassionate society.

This book is both a reflection and a roadmap. It explores how families, schools, and even technology can play a role in shaping ethical lives. Imagine a world where digital platforms encourage meaningful dialogue instead of shallow validation, where schools embed moral reflection into learning, and families model gratitude and patience as part of everyday life. Rediscovering Virtue Ethics shares practical strategies-from simple daily acts of kindness to institutional reforms-that can transform how we raise and educate future generations.
