Rumor

An unprecedented spike in missing person reports triggers waves of panic across the Gulf Coast near Houston, Texas.

Strange sightings ripple online, leaving survivors afraid of who will vanish next.

Whatever is happening, it's moving toward Houston.

In a panicked city on the edge of anarchy, police psychologist Iris Scanley and Detective Alex Mezo must question the traumatized Professor Randolph Carter: the only missing person to return. But can the damaged Dr. Carter discern Truth from Rumor?

In RUMOR, E.C. McMullen Jr. delivers a surgically-paced psychological thriller that slices into our most fragile belief systems. Set against the deep bayous of East Texas, the novel spirals into a horrific mystery rooted not in superstition, but in our failure to confront evidence when it conflicts with comfort.

RUMOR isn't a supernatural tale: That's what makes it terrifying.

RUMOR is an H.P. Lovecraft inspired SF Horror Thriller novel, the first in a projected trilogy: In Hardcover, Paperback, and Kindle
