Porter, Jimmy Craig: - The late Jimmy Porter was a West Texas native. He spent his life living in Midland, Texas, and he worked as a building contractor, custom painter, and oil & gas operator. Jimmy's lifelong passion for writing began in 1974 when one of his earliest writings was published in a book of short stories. He was the youngest of the book's authors. Jimmy's wife Margaret completed her husband's dream of having "Save the Child" published.
