Filled with bits of humor and sprinkled with crazy struggles and raw emotion, Searching for Sadie, is a romantic adventure about a young woman trying to pick up the pieces of her broken heart by starting over, alone, in the wilds of Alaska.
After the unexpected death of her young husband, Sadie wants nothing to do with people or modern society, ever again.

So, she jumps, headfirst, into the seclusion of an island in Southeast Alaska, to be by herself and rebuild her life. Living so remotely turns out to be a lot different than she expected though. She quickly learns that she has bitten off a bit more than she can chew.
Confronted with bears, starvation, sickness, bad weather, and old wounds, the stubborn and clever Sadie is forced to rely on the help of others. She slowly learns that it's okay to love again.
