Steven Mintz is Professor of History at the University of Texas at Austin. A leading authority on families, childhood, and the life course, he is the award-winning author of
The Prime of Life: A History of Modern Adulthood,

Domestic Revolutions: A Social History of American Family Life, among other books. He is a past president of the Society for the History of Children and Youth and chaired the Council on Contemporary Families.
Peter N. Stearns is Distinguished University Professor of History at George Mason University. He is the author of
Childhood in World History and
Anxious Parents: A History of Modern Childrearing in America, among many other titles. He has worked extensively on a variety of topics in social and cultural history, including pioneering work on the history of emotions. He received an Award for Scholarly Distinction from the American Historical Association in 2021.
