Michael Mandelbaum is the Christian A. Herter Professor Emeritus of American Foreign Policy at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. He previously taught at Harvard, Columbia, and the U.S. Naval Academy, and was a Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York. He holds a B.A. from Yale, an M.A. from King's College, Cambridge University, and a Ph.D. from Harvard.
