The authors of 'The Appeal of the Night Stalker' are systematically limiting discourse by shadowbanning my comments on their YouTube channel and blocking my feedback. They prioritize book sales over a complex truth, treating Richard as an object for profit. This work recasts him as 'mentally incapacitated' to drive sales through pity—a portrayal Richard would utterly despise. The authors had no contact with him—a fact Emily Zola shared with me in a message—relying instead on court evaluations and reports from years prior to the trial that do not coincide with his true mental capacity. Those in his presence only saw an object and failed to uncover the man behind the persona, as he deliberately concealed his true self for self-preservation. Richard possessed a clear intellect and cognitive capacity that this book erases. He was a voracious reader of books and magazines; he read poetry and music lyrics, and even produced his own writings. A loner who knew people were untrustworthy, he used every available means to survive on the row because he knew he would be convicted. While some family and 'friends' lied and continue to lie, only a few like Patricia Kassfy and Nohemi Navarette told the truth... Richard's resilience was absolute; no one survives decades in the row and 'the hole' without breaking unless they have a solid mental structure and a deep-seated moral conscience. In the '90s, he protected the youngest inmate ('the fish') and taught him to survive; that man, married for 20 years, was devastated when Richard passed away. This book fails by reducing a cognitively excellent man to an "incapacitated" caricature. In reality, he was indeed mentally keen. The circus of profit continues at Richard's expense.
