With degrees in history and library science, Ronni Chavez brings a love of research to weaving together her twin passions of writing and quilting. Her debut novel, The Crazy Quilter, is a cozy gothic mystery of missing heirloom quilts, a haunted quilt shop, and the healing power of quilting. Ronni says, "Each quilt has a life of its own in memories, relationships, and the joy it provides. As a writer, I'm endlessly fascinated by uncovering those unique tales that unite us in exploring why we create."
In 2007, Road Home Quilting was launched to publish Ronni's quilt patterns. The red and white logo of Road Home Quilting is Medic, the block she designed to honor quilting nurses, in companion with the short story, Aunt Vicki's Quilt.
When she isn't reading patterns and planning her future UFOs, Mrs. Chavez enjoys swing jazz, oxford commas, dresden blocks, kantha stitches, and everything pumpkin.
