At the General Affairs section, I dedicated myself to excellence and made it a point to avoid any situations that could lead to blame or disciplinary actions. Leading a sharp team required extra effort and vigilance. On Sundays, after church, I would drop by the office to review the contents of my staff's desks. I occasionally found unauthorised documents, especially relating to family registrations, and discreetly noted them for follow-up. My diligence ensured that any potential issues were addressed without confrontation, as it is 280 ABOUT THE AUTHOR often the person who signs off on improper paperwork who faces the consequences, not the one who prepares it. I also served as a Protocol Officer, managing logistics for foreign aircraft hired to transport passengers. On three occasions, I narrowly escaped armed robbery attempts while commuting in the early hours.
