After the disappearance of nearly half the world's population, Caden Johnson is convinced God totally sucks. In fact, He can take His holiness and shove off. The world is crawling with mutant animals and invisible monsters-who all enjoy human being with a side of fries. And what is God doing? Watching it burn.

But when Caden hears his little sister might be alive-and stuck on the other side of the world-he decides things are going to change. Dragging his brother along, and armed with nothing but a baseball bat, he sets off to keep what's left of his family alive.
