Martha has always been on the run and taking care of herself. When she finally found love, she did not get what she expected--a family. Feeling rejected from the only thing she has ever wanted, she runs from her emotions and meets a man named Connor who owns Blissful Oasis: a place where women and children can stay for free. Martha gets tied up in helping Connor with chores around the campground but is uncovering deep-rooted truths about what the campground is. With people missing throughout the small town, and finding a man brutally beaten, she is eager to find out what is happening while trying to manage the feelings she is having for Connor. But is what she is feeling all in her head due to her Xanax addiction, or are the feelings mutual?

Grace grew up in a non perfect world with a drug-addict mother. This caused her to always care for herself and grow up faster than she had to. But when a party goes wrong and a student ends up in critical condition, Grace recounts the story to Officer Michaels. While leaving a few details out, Grace describes how she was a victim of being drugged. Officer Michaels and Grace have a past, and this time, Officer Michaels is unsure if she can get Grace out of this mess. Officer Michaels does not know that Grace did not work alone. And Officer Michaels, too, is not as innocent as people may think.
