Besides her family and friends, Susan enjoys nature, from the mountains to the oceans. Her hobbies are creative writing, reading the Hebrew Bible, baking breads and cross-stitching. Susan hopes you enjoy reading this inspired story as much as she enjoys reading it, too! Jessica Birchfield is studying computer science at the University of Washington in Seattle, pursuing a career in computer animation. She has illustrated stories for the Stone Soup magazine and created the cover image for a college textbook. In her free time, Jessica enjoys playing the piano and violin, drawing, painting, and hiking. This is her first illustrated book.
