The Waggoner Women

Judy Alter writes history about women of the American West and contemporary mysteries. Her awards include the 2005 Owen Wister Award for Lifetime Achievement, Spur Awards from Western Writers of America, and the Western Heritage (Wrangler) Award from the National Cowboy Museum and Hall of Fame. A native of Chicago, Alter has lived in Texas for over fifty years and is retired as the director of TCU Press.
