Camden, South Carolina was like small town during the War Between the States. From newspaper accounts from what was going on locally, to news of soldiers and units from afar, to after the war events like Memorial Days, and pension records. Rosters of soldiers, cemeteries of many are buried just hightlight pages in the book. Body servants and generals are mentioned.
