After almost four decades of high-powered, top-level jobs, Sarah Dufendach found herself chafing at the external restraints of her career. A solicitation from The Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue, arriving almost by fate, led her to satisfy her long-forgotten love of horses. The Rescue, home to a hundred or more draft horses rescued from abuse, cruelty, and dangerous situations, is located in Howard County, Maryland.
