While taking my first wire wrap design class in 2003, I was immediately hooked on the many facets of jewelry art. My previous art training was beneficial in creating some of my unique wire wrap pieces that I design today. I work with many traditional wire patterns, but enjoy taking them to the next level and making them my own. I continued my education at William Holland lapidary school with classes in advanced wire wrap design, silver smith techniques and received my certification in Precious Metal Clay. In my accounting profession, I enjoy my position as a trainer. It was a natural progression to move from creating to instructing. I began teaching at local bead stores in Florida and Georgia in 2006. In 2007, I started teaching at both the Down the Street and the Intergalactic Bead Shows. I can also be found teaching at a local high school in the community education program. I'm co-owner of the Great Bead Escape Retreat. We have over 10 instructors teaching techniques from Silver Clay to Lamp Work Beads. The theme behind our retreat is to get out of your comfort zone and try something new.
