Tumbleweed Smith loves to bring the sounds and stories to radio and newspaper audiences across Texas. This book is a collection of some of the most fascinating East Texas tales and folk wisdom that he has gathered over the years. Born in Waco and raised in Fort Worth, Tumbleweed studied English at Baylor and journalism at the University of Missouri, and he developed a love of travel at an early age. His radio program, "The Sound of Texas," and his syndicated newspaper column, "Rolling Around Texas," cover Texas' small towns, unique events, folklore, history, and characters.
