Strelich, Tom: - Strelich was born into a family of professional wrestlers and raised in Bakersfield, California. His writing career began on a dare from a theatre director, which worked out well since he wasn't a very good actor anyway. His plays have since garnered awards and New York premieres.Not content to fit the norm, for anything, he's a bagpiper, the pipe major for the Santa Barbara Pipe & Drum Corps. And he's not even Scottish. He's Mexican and Croatian, but the bagpipes are the only instrument that comes complete with a costume and an attitude, so it's kind of perfect for him. He's trying to learn the accordion, so if he learns the banjo after that he'll have the trifecta of the most annoying musical instruments. In his spare time, he's also a search and rescue pilot.
