'We Love to Fly': Women Airforce Service Pilots WWII
Although the author was not a pilot, she has flown in every type of aircraft including a open-cockpit Bi-plane and has always loved to fly. Her brother was a pilot of a B-17 in WWII and she wrote a book titled, "Letters From My Brother" about growing up during that time. Her interest in the WASP program grew when she volunteered as a docent in the Lyon Air Museum near her home. When Beverly Beesemyer, a former WASP visited the museum, Nancy interviewed her about her experiences which led to the writing of this book - which include Beverly's illustrations. Nancy has written 70 books and over 900 short stories and articles - mostly for young adults. She has won awards for her writing and photography and has hosted a cablevision show titled, "Author to Author."
