What's Wrong With My Family?: Growing Up in an Alcoholic Home

Desousa, Magdaline: - I am a self-help and children's book author. From the time I was nine years old, I wanted to be a writer. In fact, I asked for a typewriter for my birthday. I never thought my journey of writing would take me here. Now, I can't imagine any other path. Why do I write? To educate. To increase awareness on important topics-topics that most people don't want to talk about. To speak the truth on mental health, suicide prevention, alcoholism and how it affects the family, and difficult questions children have on various subjects. The primary goal of all my writing is to give people a glimmer of hope.
