Where the River Goes

Having left his home behind, Rennik journeys into a land rife with finely-edged fury and hellish heights. A Turin apostate has promised to bring him to her people's homeland if he pays the right price. The price, however, is a roguish Rucosti man, who finds himself bound by rope and taken up the mountain as well.

Rennik is lured into Ba Turin by the promise of knowledge: there may be someone there who understands the strange magics that possess him. But as he begins to explore the land and culture of the mountainous clan, he quickly discovers something much more dire...

The landscape isn't the only thing that wants him dead.
