Why Are You My Grandmother?

Writing this book was a passion of love for Brenda Siri. She was blessed with the unexpected birth of her first grandchild, Kaeden, in 2015. Her son, Kaeden's father, suffers from addiction and has been absent from Kaeden's life. For many years, Kaeden did not understand who Brenda was in his life. He just knew her as a lady he called Gigi. As the years passed, Kaeden started learning about family dynamics in school. When Kaeden questioned her presence in his life, she realized it was time to tell him why she was his grandmother. Brenda wrote this book to help other parents, grandparents, and children know they are loved and are not alone in having an absent parent.
