Audierea compilației THE BEST OF BUDGIE (1997), reprezintă nu doar o călătorie muzicală, ci, și un prilej de a cunoaște mai bine o trupă britanică ce a influențat major curentl NWOHBM, precum și numeroase trupe americane de cele mai diverse orientări stilistice: Metallica, Megadeth, Van Halen, Alice in chains, Soundgarden, Queens of the stone age. Am identificat ceva asemănări între piesele Breadfan (BUDGIE) și Children of the damned (Iron Maiden).
