Carol Mennig discovered her love of botanical art during her years as co-owner of two successful upscale antiques businesses in Connecticut. She acquired antique botanical books and prints whenever she could find them and kept up her interest when she semi-retired to Florida in 2001. She became involved in web and graphic design and created websites for businesses throughout the country and in the UK. She now concentrates solely on botanical art - both antique and her own. In 2010 she started creating her own colorful botanical art with inspiration from early artists such as Georgius Dionysius Ehret (1750), Pierre Bulliard (1776), Carrington Bowles (1777), John Edwards (1775), John Lindley (1829), Redoute (1802), Curtis (1787-1830) and others. To date she has created over 100 designs that are sold online and in select stores as framed prints and imprints on canvas. She has published several botanical design books which are available on Amazon and is the creator of Color Me Botanicals - An Adult Botanical coloring book Group. Carol resides in Sebastian, FL with her husband John and two much loved dogs - a female Golden Retriever named Dakota and a male Great Pyrenees named Max.
