The son of a wealthy New York investment banker, fifteen-year-old Win Canterbury, has grown up with the Manhattan elite. He's accustomed to penthouses, private jets, and the exclusive clubs of the rich and famous. In his eyes common people are a nuisance he'd rather avoid. Win's life is turned upside down when he suddenly finds himself abandoned by his parents, penniless and stranded a thousand miles away on a cotton farm in the Mississippi Delta. As he struggles to adjust, he slowly learns that the people he once snubbed might have a lot more to offer than he suspected. In fact, his salvation might just depend on them.
