Lauren K. Brady earned her PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine. Her early work as a geneticist introduced her to the fascinating field of computational biology, inspiring her to become a data scientist during graduate school. Today, Lauren applies her expertise in genetics, oncology, and data science to explore how artificial intelligence can deepen our understanding of cancer and uncover new treatment strategies.
Dr. Brady created the Discover & Decode book series to share her love of STEM with young readers, breaking down complex concepts into fun, accessible ideas that inspire the next generation of thinkers and creators.
She lives in the Philadelphia suburbs with her husband, their two sons, and their beloved black lab, Juneau. Outside of research, she enjoys yoga, gardening, and spending time outdoors.
