Her previous books include Dreams for Our Daughters (Eerdmans), The Tide (Tiger Tales Press), and The Night Box (Clarion), which was nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal. She has an undergraduate degree in visual communication and a Master of Arts degree in design, both from the Belfast School of Art. Ashling lives in Belfast, Ireland.
