O carte pentru oamenii curiosi, pentru cei care vor sa se aventureze intr-o lume totala noua, cu concepte total diferite de viata fata de a noastra insa cu aceleasi probleme politice. In acelasi timp Frank Herbert pune in balans puterea pe care o are tehnologia cu impactul negativ pe care il are asupra noastra, in lumea Dune una dintre principalele reguli este interzicerea tehnologiei.
