Family Narcissists Cult & Scapegoat Dynamic: Exposing Family Narcissism

Exposing Family Narcissism and its similarities to functioning as a Cult system. How one family member known as the scapegoat or black sheep in the family is chosen at a young age by a Narcissistic parent or caregiver to be blamed for all the problems in the family and made to be subservient to the other siblings in the family. The projected scapegoat "role" of one member of the family does not go away but stays with that person well into adulthood until they recognize the abusive pattern projected upon them and they walk away. At the same time, the scapegoat is selected, and a Golden child or children are also chosen to be the Narcissistic parent's favorites who are placed on a pedestal and considered to be superior to other siblings.

Exposing the trauma to the chosen scapegoat and its aftermath affects it leaves on the victim as they search all their life looking for answers why they are treated with such disdain by a dysfunctional parent and siblings.
