What started out as a quick thought to share with others on Facebook has turned into a published devotional to help others understand how we can get through difficult times in life is with the love and assurance of God. In her new devotional, God's Bits and Pieces, author Stephanie Padgett Widener brings together several messages she wrote on Facebook titled "Just a quick though for the day" that were to inspire and encourage those reading. When it became clear to Stephanie how impactful these messages were to those reading, she realized more that the thoughts God was given her each day to post needed to be in a book. As readers will see, the devotional messages are to uplift and inspire people in these challenging times to remain hopeful and helpful to others. The messages are to remind us that we are God's children and when we fall on hard times, He is there to guide us through them. Several topics are discussed in the devotional messages, from the importance of prayer to praising God in the trials to realizing who we are in Christ. As Stephanie saw firsthand through her Facebook posts, people need to be reminded daily that the trials of life don't compare to the glories and provisions of God.
