An era of magic users in the country of Spellstown has expanded to lengths uncontainable by the authorities. The monarchs of Spellstown, the Stellers, rule from the simple law of the nation: 'The throne and land belong only to the strongest magic user who emits gold.' However, although the Stellers have maintained the throne for over five generations, their golden magic and strength have faded with time, bringing forth an age where their legitimacy is questioned.
After being magically experimented on, Happy, a 15-year-old rogue sets on a path of revenge to find those responsible for her torture.
