Historical Madness - Edward Bonner

Historical Madness

De (autor): Edward Bonner

Historical Madness is an eclectic collection of mysteries, oddities, and haunting stories within Western Pennsylvania, neighboring West Virginia, and the Great Lakes. I have included some of these stories in my oral presentations that I have given over the past several years at libraries, community centers and Starbucks coffee house. Some stories may be known to local readers in part, while others are totally unknown. I enjoy revealing these stories to the reader. Stories that have been explored include the writing of a young boy who was electrocuted, he was called Green Man, to a group of miners that clashed with local law enforcement over union representation. A story about the life of Lobster Boy, who was a murderer. I also wrote about Madame Maria Curie, who discovered Radium and Polonium. She secretly used a local factory to explore uranium, which impacted a local community years later.

EDWARD BONNER is an author with a passion for poetry as well as historical works. His published works include: Ed grew up in a small steel mill town called Hazelwood, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In addition, he has had a lifelong passion for martial arts. He has competed in numerous tournaments and placed often in regional and national competitions. He also owned his own karate school in his current hometown of Canonsburg, PA.

Ed's educational background includes Catholic and public education, as well as a degree in business and an undergraduate degree in aeronautics. He was employed by US Airways/American Airlines for over 33 years. Ed has also been an athlete all his life by competing in triathlons, 5k runs, college and McKeesport daily news baseball. He has been active in coaching children in sports. Ed has been married to his wife, Anna Marie, for 36 years. They are the proud parents of two adult children, Brooke and Patrick. With their spouses, he is blessed with four grandchildren. Ed has participated in All Poetry as a host and competition for his writings.
