Millar, Jane: - Prior to becoming the Executive Director of Northern Community Mediation, Jane (aka Valerie Jane Gobeske Franseth) taught Spanish and English and was a school psychologist, stay-at-home mom, director of religious education and the program manager of an educational, television network.

Jane received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Albion College, Master's Degree from St. Lawrence University and doctorate from Eastern Michigan University.

Jane has received awards for her role in community leadership and the Arts, as well as for her contributions to mediation.

Jane and her husband, Bill, reside in Petoskey, Michigan. Their blended family consists of six children and six grandchildren.
