Murray, Abby: - Abby E. Murray has an MFA from Pacific University and a PhD in English from Binghamton University. She's been married to an active duty soldier for 14 years; consequently, his deployments and their aftermath have inspired a great deal of her writing and community service projects. She serves as Editor in Chief of Collateral, an online literary journal that explores the impact of war beyond the combat zone. She lives in the Pacific Northwest, where she teaches writing at the University of Washington Tacoma and regularly offers free workshops to veterans, soldiers, and military families in the area.
