The author of this book, Werner Rusterholz, was born in Switzerland and lives there most of his life. He was a carpenter on the way to fulfill his dream to work as a commercial pilot when a car accident destroyed his plans, and his health. He lost all his skills and abilities to work and soon was diagnosed to have a whiplash injury. Later diagnosed Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
With much effort he discovered a way to get his life back, got trained to be a computer programmer and managed to be back in the sky. Now paragliding. Until he had an accident on a paragliding journey in the Himalayas, breaking his back three times.
Recovery from the injury went fine and still he was often very exhausted. Searching for the cause of his constant fatigue and headache he finally got a surprising diagnosis. He has a disorder, a brain disorder. The type 2 bipolar disorder.
In February 2016, at the age of 47, he finds a way to treat his brain disorder and is now living happy with his bipolar 2 and PTSD.
