Mate es un niño que, como tantos, siente una enorme fascinación por los dinosaurios. Sin embargo, a diferencia de tantos otros, no crecerá. Su cuerpo mantendrá su estatura por debajo del promedio toda la vida. Un día, en un centro comercial en construcción, cerca de su casa, encuentran huellas de un alosaurio, es decir, lagarto extraño, nada menos. Niño y animal se comunicarán, en sueños?, y quedarán contentos, sabiendo que, a su manera, los dos son excepcionales.

Mate is a boy who, like so many others, feels an enormous fascination for dinosaurs. However, unlike many others, he will not grow. His body will remain below average height for his entire life. One day, at a construction site for a shopping mall near his home, the footprints of an Allosaurus--meaning "strange lizard" are discovered. The boy and the animal will communicate, perhaps in dreams, and will be content, knowing that, in their own way, they are both exceptional.
