I Don't Look Like What I've Been Through! - Deborah Thomas

I Don't Look Like What I've Been Through!

De (autor): Deborah Thomas

The book I Don't Look Like What I've Been Through ....by Deborah Thomas is an on- time testament of the healing power of God, walking by faith, and refusing to live in fear and silence. This book is for all women, but especially our African-American sisters. We fulfill so many roles whether at home or in our jobs or careers. Too often we care for others more than ourselves. In these pages lies a wake-up call for us to listen to our bodies and take action for our health and well-being.

My mother-in-law was a breast cancer survivor who lived to be 82 years young. Her latter years were her best years. She was a survivor. Deborah and the women who share their stories are survivors-- and so are you.

I highly recommend you read this book and love yourself enough to take charge of your health. Your body, family, and friends will thank you.

Stop everything! Deborah Thomas sounds an alarming and frightening health cry against breast cancer which disproportionately affects African-American women! It's as though she pleads, "stop everything" and get checked! She also provides necessary steps, guides, and information for heathier living. This book must not only be read by all African-American women, but also by all African-American husbands, dads, brothers and sons. We all must help prevent the loss; because, when our women lose, the entire village loses!
Pastor Clarence Oliver, M. Div.
Advancing the Kingdom Ministries

With compassion and honesty, author Deborah Thomas a woman of faith, entwines Holy Scriptures using analogies on how women treat their bodies along with valuable solutions. This book is written in anticipation that the chain of silence will be broken as well as to eradicate the high percentage of deaths of breast cancer.
