In Borrowed Houses, a memoir of love and faith amidst war in Lebanon, is both an award-winning spiritual memoir and an up-close, inside view of a Middle East country engulfed in civil war. Through it, readers share the experience of ordinary people, trying to go on with their lives while their nation, torn by inherent internal divisions, also endures invasions and occupations by foreign armies.
