Ramadan, Hisham: - Hisham M. Ramadan received his Doctor of Juridical Science (S.J.D.) from the University of Wisconsin. He specialized in Islamic Law, Criminal Law, Comparative Law and Human rights. He has taught at the University of Queensland, Australia, Michigan State University and Loyola University, Chicago. He is currently teaching at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Canada. He previously served as Legal Protection Officer, The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. He has authored and edited numerous books including, "Reconstructing Jury Instructions in Homicide Offenses: Rethinking Homicide Law", "Understanding Islamic Law: From Classical to Contemporary", "Contemporary Ijtihad: Limits and Controversies" and "Manufacturing Phobias: The Political Production of Fear in Theory and Practice".
