He worked for the Deseret News for thirty-two years, first as a sportswriter, then as a feature writer and finally as a city desk reporter and editor. He is the author of the books Walking Salt Lake City, Layton Utah (Images of America series), Detour Utah: Mysteries, Legends and Peculiar Places and the Mystery of Utah History blog. Lynn lives in Layton with his wife, LeAnn Flygare Arave.
