Popescu, David Ryan: - By age twelve David had begun painting, making music and met his future wife, Mary-Anne. They married at age 21 and are the proud parents of a straight daughter and a queer son. He attended OCAD in Toronto and went on to travel to over 40 countries as a Director. Hewrote his first collection of stories in Casablanca, Morocco after realizing that his completemisinterpretation of a news article made for better reading. Writing became a productive and more portable creative outlet on his travels to cities around the world. In 2020 David has devoted himself full time to writing, painting and recording music.He approaches writing in a surrealist manner; warping realistic elements into recognizable but cyclically nightmarish scenarios.David and his wife live in Toronto, Canada. His art studio 'The Art Room', named in honour of his first art teacher Jerry Weber, is located in the industrial west end neighbourhood of Long Branch.
