Jade Astor is a longtime fan of Gothic-themed love stories and has been reading authors like Victoria Holt, Mary Stewart, and Daphne Du Maurier since childhood. Later, she became involved in writing paranormal and sci-fi fan fiction, back when such publications were still run off on photocopiers, stapled together, and shipped out to other fans in manila envelopes. Years later, she was delighted to find a thriving population of like-minded writers and readers in the e-book community. Naturally, she set about trying to fuse these various interests to create the kind of stories she would have enjoyed reading herself.
