This is an elementary northern style hand set that is simple in nature but deep in content. The set is part of the curriculum for many schools specializing in the northern styles. For some schools, this is the first set tau taught in their kung fu curriculum. This basic set also teaches the strong stances necessary to achieve success in kung fu practice. The more one ponders this set, the more one will see. The set can be done gently and with focus for beginners and the elderly, and the tempo can be increased for the more vigorous among us.
