Nació en 1958 en Washington, D.C. Estudió Ciencias Políticas en el Kenyon College y comenzó su carrera profesional como dibujante de caricaturas políticas para el Cincinnati Post. Su tira cómica Calvin y Hobbes lo ha hecho merecedor de varios premios, entre ellos el Reuben de la National Cartoonists Society (Asociación Nacional de Historietistas) y el Humor Comic Strip.

John Kascht's satirical drawings have appeared on book covers, billboards, theater marquees and more than a few cocktail napkins. Also, in The New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, Esquire, GQ, Time, Newsweek, New York Magazine, The New Yorker, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, LIFE, The Los Angeles Times, Golf Digest, Forbes, TV Guide, The Village Voice, The New York Observer, The Chicago Tribune, Reader's Digest, W, Vibe, Oprah, Glamour, US News and World Report, and MAD magazine. Bill Watterson was born in 1958 in Washington, D.C. He studied political science at Kenyon College and began his professional career as a political cartoonist for the Cincinnati Post. His comic strip Calvin and Hobbes has earned him several awards, including the Reuben from the National Cartoonists Society and the Humor Comic Strip.
