Lunulae: New & Selected Poems in Translation

Doireann Ní Ghrí ofa is a bilingual Irish writer devoted to exploring how the past makes itself felt in the present. Her book A Ghost in the Throat was a National Book Critics Circle Award finalist and a New York Times Notable Book of 2021. Doireann has also written several critically-acclaimed books of poetry in both Irish and English, each a deepening exploration of birth, death, desire, and domesticity. Awards for her writing include a Lannan Literary Fellowship, the Ostana Prize, and the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature. Brian Ó Conchubhair is Professor of Irish Language and Literature at the University of Notre Dame. He recently co-edited Bone and Marrow/Cná mh agus Smior: An Anthology of Irish Poetry from Medieval to Modern (2022) and the Routledge International Handbook of Irish Studies (2021). Adam Hanna is a lecturer in the English Department at University College Cork. He is the author of two monographs, Poetry, Politics, and the Law in Modern Ireland (Syracuse University Press, 2022) and Northern Irish Poetry and Domestic Space (Palgrave, 2015). He is also the co-editor of three collections: Architectural Space and the Imagination: Houses in Literature and Art from Classical to Contemporary (Palgrave, 2020); Law and Literature: The Irish Case (Liverpool University Press, 2022); and an anthology of ekphrastic poetry, The Echoing Gallery (Radcliffe Press, 2013). Her translations into Czech include poetry by Má irtí n Ó Direá in, Seá n Ó Rí ordá in, Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill, and Aifric Mac Aodha.
