Her favorite projects are built around ordinary crafts and household materials and easy-to-use electronics. Formerly the Homeschooling Expert at About.com (now ThoughtCo), Kathy develops introductory technology projects for organizations including Adafruit Industries, and helped the Girl Scouts of the USA create their series of robotics badges. The mother of a videogame designer and programmer and a filmmaker, Kathy bikes, kayaks, and grows amazing veggies along the Hudson River in Upstate New York.
