With a passion and love for animals, Melissa along with her loving and supportive husband, Lee, of 20 years, started Forever Dreaming Farm as a sanctuary for rescued animals in need. Melissa enjoys nothing more than to see the animals on the farm grow and flourish as they live their best lives, while she creates narratives about their day. Anyone who knows Melissa, knows that she considers her animals her children and their happiness is her main priority. It is her dream that all animals in the world will be safe and free from human harm, able to live their lives happy and full of love.
In addition to living on and operating the farm, Melissa is also a pediatric nurse. Much like with the animals, Melissa finds great joy in the innocence and imagination of children and believes they all deserve to be happy and safe.
As a child, Melissa dreamed of being a children's author but chose other life paths; however, she never lost her love for imagination and makes up stories of magic and make believe with her nieces and nephews.
She was inspired by her children Chase, Marley and Bella to write stories of their adventures on the farm.
Melissa finally made her childhood dream come true, writing this book about her real life dogs and what she considers some of life's most valuable lessons...Kindness and Acceptance.
At 40 years old, Melissa hopes this new venture of a children's book inspires others to first be kind and to never give up on their dreams!
