Some of it is most exciting -- all written with a truly amusing straight-face, dispassionate coolness. It's a true account of the famous hunter's experiences with man-eating tigers in the jungles of India. He describes in detail the stalking, the tigers' victims, and some of the most hairbreadth escapes that have been recorded -- all the more harrowing because of his calm detachment. Good armchair adventure -- not just for hunting enthusiasts, but for men and women -- boys and girls -- who like straight adventure, even though it's a bit gory at times.
